My Path Poem by Houda Boukassoula

My Path

My Path
Born and brought unwillingly to this universe
Had to look for a chance in a better place
Ceased not looking for an eternal sunrise
Not to stay bewildered from birth to demise
Might be born to work for a living
Still wondering why I'm living

Born without choosing gender or race
Struggling always for an equal chance
Born to nourish a heart with love
Still looking for eternal love
Kept worshiping day and night
Asking not to let my biographer
Narrate my birth, brief life and death
Without saying that I saw the truth in depth
And that I instantly found my path
When I looked for true love inside myself.
