My Own Suicide Note Poem by Andrew Devin

My Own Suicide Note

Rating: 3.5

Drowning in this world of pain,
It's too hard to explain,
Can't find my breath here,
Life now seems hard to bear.

Loneliness is my best friend,
Won't leave me till I meet my end,
Pain has been my first love,
As I've been born to be her slave.

Smile was lost time ago in wilderness,
But I know she'll come to bid me goodbye.
Happiness and delight were too coy,
Ha! I never knew the meaning of joy.

I tell myself none of this is your fault,
But all these things should now come to hault,
Take one last step which is right,
To feel how to win your last fight.

Here I am, at the climax of my story,
But none to witness my last glory,
Last breath, last heartbeat, one last sting,
But I shouldn't keep death waiting.
