My Night With The Glamourous Witch Poem by Justin Gildow

My Night With The Glamourous Witch

Rating: 5.0

Flying with you
On your broom
Across the light and appearance of the moon
Is such a joy to behold
As I continue to hold tight on you
You fly so perfectly

Flying past neighborhoods in the country
I look and gaze up on the many wonderful
Halloween decorations on display
Whether in a town or in a city
It's all very pretty

After seeing many decorations on display
Whether in towns
Or in cities
You decide to fly us up into the clouds

I let go of you just a bit
As I reach out with one hand to touch
the clouds passing by
You continue to fly us along
Giving me a wonderful moment I'll never
forget

After being up in the clouds for a while
You decide to take me to a quiet pumpkin
patch

As we approach the pumpkin patch
We start descending on your broom

When we reach the ground
We get off your broom
And we take a walk through this pumpkin
patch
Pointing out which pumpkins are our favorites
And ones that we'd want to carve into
Jack-O-Lanterns

After a short time
You ask me if I'd like to see your home
I tell you that I'd be more than happy too

Boarding your broom again
We fly away to your home

It takes a little while
But we reach your home
Which is an old fashioned cottage
Complete with a pumpkin field
And a porch swing

Reaching your home
We descend again
Until we're close to the ground
We get off your broom once again

You lead me up the path of your cottage
You open the door and I follow in after
you
Once we're both in
You close the door
And your black cat comes running toward
us
You pick up your pet and say good evening
to it
Your black cat just meows at me
But your black cat still remembers me from
last year I'm sure
You put your black cat down
And it runs off to play with its toys

You show me around your home
Your bedroom, library, living room, and kitchen

You ask me if I'd like some hot chocolate
I tell you that that would be perfect tonight

You hand me my hot chocolate
While you hold yours

We then walk outside and sit on your porch
swing
Talking about our lives this year
And also Halloween
As we talk
We each smile to each other
Sharing the view of the many stars and the full
moon
As well as looking at the bats flying in the night sky

After finishing our cups of hot chocolate
We decide to take a walk through your pumpkin
patch
Walking along and seeing the many varieties of
pumpkins that you have
I compliment you on the many wonders that you
have got growing in your patch
You tell me thank you
And that it means a lot to you

As the hours have flown by
And with it still being night time out here
I feel it's time for me to return home
You tell me that that's alright

Bidding your home goodbye
And boarding your broom with you for
the last time tonight
We take off
Soaring across the night sky

It takes a while
But you return me home safe and sound
Getting off of your broom
I wish you a heartfelt goodbye
But I know we'll see each other again
sometime
You reach out with a free hand
And we each give each other a goodbye hug
I wave to you as you start to ascend into the night
sky
And you wave back to me
Telling me we'll see each other again
I stay for a moment or two
As I watch you fly across the moon
Such a sweet goodbye for the time being it is
