My Names Poem by ROGEL FRANCIS SORIOSO

My Names

I fought as Achilles to eradicate the Trojan kingdom and pride
We fought as the best of Greece with the Myrmidons by my side
We brought the Persian army to its knees in the battle of Gaugamela
As Alexander the Great who created the best military tactic and formula
I conquered the East and most of Europe when I was Genghis Khan
Yes we achieved success according to our own execution and plan
I succeeded and also failed when I was still Napoleon Bonaparte
But the French people and country will always remain in my heart
My loyal or brave Knights fought and won every battle under my guidance
In a Kingdom where they address me as King Arthur everything is in abundance
With the support of my fellow Founding Fathers we were able to conceive a nation
To be the first American President George Washington under God's own protection
The romantic lover and warrior poet of the Scottish people
As the vengeful William Wallace when life was still that simple
To be the rebel and poet who sacrificed his own life for freedom
As Jose Rizal who opened the eyes of the Filipinos with his wisdom
Finally to be the man hated by many as the executioner of the chosen race
As the innocent Adolf Hitler who's acquitted of all the charges upon his case
These are the names I once wore upon my not so distant past
So humanity would know what I did while my time still lasts
You are not the judge of my soul and action but rather my own God
For I have done some killings and destruction for I was quite mad
Of the circumstances where humanity had come short of their intention
In the covenant between us and all of you by choosing your own direction
When excessive pride had violated the sanctity of life that we all know
By being so arrogantly boastful and conceited with what you all show
Such arrogance driven by too much pride and greed without regards to others
Have you all forgotten that in this tiny globe you are all just sisters and brothers
Consider this a warning or a reminder to all those righteous fools
For the time has come when we will weigh all the weight of what was already done
And it is only those deemed fair enough who will remain when everything else is gone
