My Name Is Grey Poem by Aaron Frank

My Name Is Grey

My name is grey
Not like yesterday
My smile shines
Like the Sun after the rain

My voice is plain
Not like yesterday
Face displays
The clouds and fog

My heart is clean
My mind diseased
Lucid like blue skies
Foggy and dense am I

I'm not mean
I get beaten
I'm not green
Gave up mistreatin'

Dear Sir
I am Yours
Like a lamb
Follow my course

I don't want
Another life
through the swamp
Chasing the light

I do see
What I saw
Distantly
Full of greed

I do cling
To thought and deed
With everything
I dance and sing
