My Mistake? Poem by Muhammad Yahya

My Mistake?

Rating: 5.0

A sting is all that I need
And the pain maintains its speed
I close my eyes and bleed
So much for the saving creed
My mistake? Is it my deed?

Love loses its meanings, beauty cries
Every time I see those lips, those eyes
Something inside of me dies
Yet I live still, I still breathe
My mistake? Is it my deed?

Cut every tongue that cries for change
Kill all those who want to rearrange
Crucify some in the ransom range
And bury the rest in greed
My mistake? Is it my deed?

C'mon, let's play once more for my sake
And see how these heavens break
I'll play Adam you play the snake
One last apple, one last seed
My mistake? Is it my deed?
