My Mistake Poem by Moana Tuigamala

My Mistake

My heart was troubled,
And I didn't know what to do.
I thought of all the obstacles,
And then I thought of you.
I thought to walk out on you,
It would be a shame.
Again I thought to break up with you,
It would be a disgrace.

I made up my mind,
That I'll do it.
To make a fool out of myself
And to prove it.
Of course I did and trembled
Before you.
And of course I did
Show you how I was a fool.

I broke up with you,
Just like that.
The most horrible thing,
That I now so regret.
I hope some day,
I'll gather up my courage.
To make it up to you,
Cause I've pushed to the edge.

All I hope is for me,
Not to be late.
To get your forgiveness,
For my mistake.
