My Master Said Poem by Maxine (Maxi) C. Howe

My Master Said

Take up my cross and drink my cup
My master said to me,
Forget the world and lose your life
Tis then thou shalt me free.
Heal the sick, raise the dead,
cleanse the demon possessed,
Renew your mind, be born again,
Then shalt though be blessed.
Seek ye the kingdom earnestly,
Be merciful, meek and kind,
Love with humble heart thine enemy,
And eternal life will be thine.
Obedience to our father is a must
Whatever the call my be,
For you cannot serve, two masters
And faithfully love me.
