There's an essence in time
and it speaks through the
flowers in your eyes

there's a tears in your eyes
and the lining of their paths
drops mild into my heart

there's a love in my heart
and it warms so well like
a smile in the womb

there's a mother in my smile
and she's the light from my
dreams

there's a lady that I know
smiles, I will never be her
own for the night

there's a canoe on the shore
and its my ride to your heart

there's that little word
in a cone, I may never
have it open when am
old

there's a space in our
breath, its the absence
of your kiss on my lips

there's that woman as my
heart, she rebuffs me like
am smoke in the wild

there's a writer like my
soul, she's a dancer in the
wind, she may never be my
life in the end

there's a flower on the sand
its the mushrooms of the earth
amazing how love can grow
in unimaginable places

there's Val that's a girl
for he's as soft as a pearl
