My Love Is Mine Poem by Amity Willows

My Love Is Mine

Drag my scattered thoughts,
Drag them from me,
I don’t mind,
They are just burdens.
Tear my dreams away,
Take them all if you please,
They only burden me.
Scatter my memories,
Scatter them to the winds,
They only bring me pain,
Scatter them if you wish.
Take my thoughts,
My memories and dreams,
My ambitions and hopes,
My prayers and fears,
Yet do not take my heart,
It is mine,
And mine alone,
It will never be yours,
It will remain with me forever.
