You didn’t show up for lunch
after promising you would be
there, I gave you the benefit
of the doubt and I was right

You were held up by an emer-
gency – you need never fear
that I shall blame you when
circumstances conspire

To make it seem you are doing
me wrong, I have learnt my
lesson and always assume
you are on my side

I will continue to do so until the
opposite is proven - and then
I will still exonerate you - I love
you, my love covers everything…
