Before you break my heart and walk away
Was it something I did or didn't say
I am not trying to stop you or make you stay
Just telling you I love you in every way

I might not express it the way you would
Or buy you flowers like I should
Just give me this moment and you'll understand
Why I am the way I am

With my love I am unconditional
Nonrestrictive and immaterial
I accept you as given from the heavens above
To try to change that would change the very thing I love

I only ask that you do the same
To keep it natural and untamed
To keep it pure through and through
And embrace this love I have for you
