My Life Ahead Poem by DeMarcus Woodley

My Life Ahead

I look but I cannot see
The door is closing
Closing to where I can't see my path
So I ask God where should I go
No response to my senses of what I know
I ask another
God where should I be
No response to my senses of what I know
So I walk into the valley of the shadows to where I shall fear no evil
Continue my journey on to the next
God what should I see
No response to my senses of what I know
So I look and take my time to find where I should be
But still I can't see because there's nothing in sight that shows my true destiny
I open the door to the shining light
But the only thing that's shining is the stars in the night
My life ahead goes in a sequence
Till I begin the path that God wants me to be in
Light or Dark nothing can phase me
Except for God and the woman that raised me
My life ahead takes a toll on the world
Rich or Poor
Good or Bad
Keep the feeling of greatness
Because they're not a lot of ppl in the world that make
My life ahead could change the world for many
If I do right and keep God with me
