My Life Poem by Qwayne Rose

Life for me was never easy,
I had to struggle to achieve.
The place where I’m from,
the land of wood and water,
Where opportunities lack
But now I’m here in the UK
A place filled with wondrous
Opportunities, I have to make
use of everything to try and achieve.

Life for me is filled struggles at every corner,
I try and try but fail every time, it seems as if
I will never make it but I just keep trying.
Growing up as an only child people
thought I got everything but I didn’t,
again a struggle to break a common misconception,
If I try I fail but if I don’t try I will never succeed.
Life is a struggle no matter how much you
fumble or falter just rise to the occasion.
