My Imaginary Friend Poem by Warren Chan

My Imaginary Friend

I had a friend
A good one indeed.
Each day we spent
Spent happily.

Cares be gone
Worries not known.
Fears and doubts,
What are those?

Simplicity so;
Responsibilities none.
Time all spent
With constant fun.

But Time it is;
Time be cruel,
Time did pass;
And so did you.

Each day now seems;
Each day it be.
Each day no longer;
Spent happily.

So here I sit;
My emotions gone wild.
Oh where, oh where
Is my inner child?
