My Hunger Poem by Sanjukta Sahoo

My Hunger

Rating: 5.0

Who am I-
I ponder over
And look within
The corridor of my heart

And stand there
In front of the mirror
Made of the crystal glass
Of my soul-

And see myself glowing,
Like a hungry flame
Hungry,
Glowing,
Burning constantly

Ceaselessly drenching
My thirst for the rains
Of your love.

I am a hungry flame
burning,
Glowing,
Burning,
Glowing,
Incessantly reducing
The remaining fuel of life.
