My Heart's For Sale. Poem by miranda shaffer

My Heart's For Sale.

my heart's for sale
it wasnt worth the price
it's waitin on a dusty shelf
it's cracked merchandise
it's banged and breakin
but i glued it back together
but now i'm aching
and glue wont last forever
once it's bought
it can't be returned
you left a mark
but you were unconcerned
it seems like now, i was just a toy
i had so many uses
but you were only a boy
now the price was reduced
and boys grow up
leavin their actions figures down in the dumb
my heart's for sale
it wasnt worth the price
will you buy me?
i'm a broken device....
