My Heart Is Ours Poem by T.A. Rosenbaum

My Heart Is Ours

A soft breeze blows through my soul
A child's breath on a dandilion's petal
and those seeds upon my heart settle
Can two oft' broke hearts make a whole?

Your heart so reminds me of a field of wild flowers
that amazed, I gazed in my youth
and a note rang some deep concordant truth
In that meadow I could not count the hours
and that selfsame place in my heart is ours
