My Guardian Poem by Reba Baker

My Guardian

I feel your spirit all around
You follow me but make no sound

I sense your gaze watching me
I feel your body, comforting

I hear you whine
So much pain

That is why I've made this choice
I could not bear it in your voice

I love you now
I always will

So close your eyes now and rest
You nolonger have to heave your chest

Do not worry, I will be fine
I owe you deer, so very much

You're locked away inside my heart
This way, we do not have to part
