My Girl (Puella Mea) Poem by John Thorkild Ellison

My Girl (Puella Mea)

My girl's special,
You'd never understand
How much I love her company
And want to hold her hand.

My girl's married to another guy
But they're estranged
And I cannot tell you why.

My girl's really beautiful,
Her figure is a thrill,
But more, much more than this,
Her eyes could kill!

I want my girl to be my wife,
I love her very much,
I want to hold oh so much
And touch and clutch!

My girl means more than Life to me,
I want her so -
If only she would cherish me
And not say no!

My girl's another universe,
A world of joy,
And I am just a little child,
A very foolish boy!

Please tell my girl just how I feel
And that I'm gonna die,
Please tell her never to forget
That she's the reason why!
