My Garden Of Delight Poem by James B. Long

My Garden Of Delight

Rating: 5.0

I have a garden of delight
Where flowers grow so right.
Pretty daisies yellow, white
Violets sky blue bright.
In that corner is my rose
Alas no roses show.
But soon her flower will acquire,
My rose the poet's rose.
Hungry birds fly back and forth
They peck at insects small
While sneaky Tom Cat hides in wait,
To pounce upon them all.
The hungry birds they leap to sky,
And Butterflies dance, what a pretty sight!
While buttercups grow butter bright
In my garden of delight.
