My Flower Of Enchantment Poem by Shomir Dass

My Flower Of Enchantment

My flower of enchantment, as if chocolate, I satisfy
My thirst absorbing essence instead of devouring it,
I forget long thirst in invention, in love.
Thought I a much, learnt in heart with much torment
What ache is, what is deep blue-

Of hearts of the universe; what stoical bird is.
Or dragonfly winds away spreading her glassy wings.
Winds away leaving breath over the heart of the youth.
I see bewailing in sickness, see at the window
Falls saliva of the universe in guise of wind.
I'm hypnotized; winded away; come back, come back, Chaka,
In chariot, in victory, come in eternal poetry.
We will be song in the saint land, will be love,
Will mingle into the universe being abstract symphony.
