My First Imaginative Kiss. Poem by Sudipta Bhattacharyya

My First Imaginative Kiss.

It was the darkest night of the year,
I was standing under the dark sky,
No light was visible nearby.
I wondered about her eyes
As her eyes were as dark as that night,
Beautiful, dark and attractive serenity.

I thought of her eyes, dozing as if I had
Drunk the elixir of her passionate eyes.
I took her hand, dragged her close to me.
I poured kisses on her lips incessantly.

Every thing slowed down for a moment.
We stood silently, her lips sparkle with love.
Glistening in the darkness of the night.
Suddenly I couldn't find anybody present
Near me, I became perplexed....

It was my first kiss to an imaginative lady.
I quenched my thirst for love, though
Sensual enough to shake my whole body.
Was it a dream? was it a hallucination?
I wondered deeply but to me it was the first
Kiss of mine to a lady, let it be imaginative.
