My Existence In Question Here! Poem by David Blaine

My Existence In Question Here!

Rating: 5.0

'Are you alive? '
I heard him thou I felt I had not
'You dead! ', the tone astonished me!
'No, I disagree' retorted I.
'Proof, monseiur, proof? Where is it? '
He asked much like the Yard.
'Standing in front of you, thats whats proof'
'Ah, alas! Papers, monseieur, papers!
I'm helpless! You dead! ' the tone ever the same.
What, I thought, this world had turned into
Where soul, spirit and individuals are void!
Papers; curvy, elliptical, with prints all over
They prove your life, not your deeds, not your wives
Your life is shunted in a file
Which you cannot escape even after you die
They have computers, databases and lord knows what!
The world is to the devil, Bible says
But who is Mr.D? How will we know him?
'Proof, monseiur, proof! '
Hope the devil bring some, just in case.

At first I was thrown off by the formatting, but I like the ending message. I particularly like how the first half was describing a situation and the other half was of the deeper meaing behind the present circumstances. Very good job.
