When everything is created for me to have
Oh how empty my life would be
But if I can have your unconditional love
Oh how good it feels to be me

And if I can buy you just about anything
Then I wonder if I'm just giving myself away to you
I wonder if you take me for what I have
Or do you take me for who I am to you?

And when you have everything from me
Until I'm dry with nothing left
Oh how scared I am with the thought of that
You're leaving with everything that you now have
