My Everlasting Dream Poem by Casey Gochnour

My Everlasting Dream

Rating: 4.5

But soft, for your thoughts, an everlasting dream,
Making love and life come together and seem,
To break apart and sew the seam,
Making life seem like an everlasting dream.

I went to sleep on a fateful night,
With you, oh it’s true, oh a night so bright,
So filled with the moon and its reflective light,
Love so out of sight, and it felt so right.

I had you all to myself, and I still do,
You’re my one and only; forever you.
And in the sky with the stars we drew,
A constellation of our love so new.

For your thoughts to me are an everlasting dream,
Making love and life come together and seem,
To break me apart and sew the seam,
You make life seem like an everlasting dream.

Oh how beauty radiates but not just from your face,
From your being entirely, I feel it in your embrace.
As the space closed between us, as I began to chase,
Into your mind, with thoughts moving in endless grace.

How you make me shine, with love so sublime,
Surely you and your perfection should be a crime,
Moving in real-time, you make my mind climb,
From one thought to the next, from each line to a rhyme.

Your thoughts to me are an everlasting dream,
Making love and life come together and seem,
To break me apart and sew the seam,
You make life seem like an everlasting dream.

The way you laugh, the way you talk,
How you work so hard around the clock,
Even just the way you walk,
Or the way you handle my… sock (‘cause they smell) .

You know I love your being as a whole,
Don’t doubt it for a second, you’re my real goal.
Ever since that night when it was your heart I stole,
We became intertwined, body and soul.

Just your thoughts alone are an everlasting dream,
Making love… making life come together and seem,
To break me apart completely, yet you sew the seam,
And make life forever seem like my everlasting dream.
