My Enemy Vs. My Saviour Poem by Adam Wilson

My Enemy Vs. My Saviour

I'm clawing upwards and gasping
For a breath of sweet air
But My Enemy refuses to release me
He puts me in despair
My enemy has a mighty grasp
I feel like I can't break free
My Enemy begins to swallow
Poor defenseless me
But then My Saviour appeared
With His light and His love
He took me by the hand
And lifted me above
My Enemy was furious
But then he began to quiver and shake
As he saw the rejoicefulness in me
That My Saviour did make
My Savioir is honest and caring
He is peaceful and true
He is great in all ways
He is good through and through
He is there for all of us
Forever and always
Watching and helping from above
Until the last day of days
