My Ego Is Fully Blown Poem by Francis Duggan

My Ego Is Fully Blown

Rating: 5.0

My wallet empty of money but my ego is fully blown
The weaknesses I have I cannot disown
The big ego compels me more doggerel to write
Without ego I would not have stuff on this site
With my views on life I'm sure most would disagree
But I dislike in others what I dislike in me
I receive from life what is only my due
But then daydreams for many not known to come true
Though my ego is large my achievements are small
But like 'tis said of pride it comes before a fall
And only of late I have come to realize
That those with big egos are not known to be wise
Somebody ought to start a big ego club
And a good place to hold meetings would be the local pub.
