My Dying Wish Poem by Justin Tanabe

My Dying Wish

My dying wish is not to go
to Disney land.
Or meet a famous movie star.
My wish is for my mom to not cry
in my lucid final hours.
I want her to say
'See you soon'
with a beaming smile.
And softly kiss my brow so
I can take that sweet memory to paradise.
I want her to read to me
Revelation 21: 4
'And God shall wipe away all tears
from their eyes; and there shall be no more death
neither sorrow, nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away'
My dying wish is for her to let me go.
To release a thousand angel doves
from her hands.

Why are you going to die before your mother?
