My Daughter A Mother Poem by Wanda Teems

My Daughter A Mother

My daughter a mother
how can it be
How did all those years
slip so fastly by me

I found happiness and peace
with your special love
I knew right away you were
a treasured gift from above

Your childhood flew by
gone with a blast
Next thing I knew your a lady
all grown up and with class

Now here you are
becoming a mother
Trust me honey the love of your child
is like none other

Savor your time loving your child
when he jumps from your nest
Don't let your
emotions run wild

Know that you raised him
the best that you could
Loved him dearly
as God knew you would

He granted him life
then sent him to you
Creating the gift of your family
Loving bright and brand new
