My Childish Collection Of Hearts (The First Letter) Poem by A Waltz For Zizi

My Childish Collection Of Hearts (The First Letter)

I'm not brave enough to invite you in my heart after midnight
but I'm placing my poem, at your door tonight
for you to decide, if my heart would somehow be worthy enough
to help you carry your dreams,
and maybe someday, your kisses too.
It was a mighty challenge, to convince my pen
to write of love to someone like you,
who's beauty can't be matched
by that of those cold, imperfect stars,
my eyes adored yesterday,
but I decided not to be a fool, and to at least lean for a kiss,
though the risk of getting slapped is quite high.
For now, I hope is enough to be understood.
I just wanted to make you aware of my heart's wishes, so
good night.
