My Canvas Poem by Shay B. Malden

My Canvas

Amidst all this beauty
You stood there
Blank, vaguely unaware.
I was drawn to you.
Almost mesmerised
By your colorless
Expression.
You gazed at me
From every angle
Fixated, unfilled,
Drawing me near.
I stroked your face then,
Ever so gently
With the tip of my brush
And, I could feel
Your breath heighten,
Excited to be alive.
Enraptured, I painted
My soul, with anointed
Oils across your face.
