My Best Nightmare Poem by Madison Cornwell

My Best Nightmare

Rating: 4.8

I opened my eyes
And felt my self falling.
I landed on hard ground and maoned
And started crawling.
I looked up
Into a blood red sky.
And screamed in terror
As a jet black crow flew by.
I tried to stand up
And fell back down in pain.
I decided just to lay there
Instead of hurting myself in strain.
I crawled an inch
And lost my breath.
I knew that I
Was near my death.
And then behind me
I heard a sound.
I didn't look back
Just to the ground.
A hand then touched
My injured shoulder.
Then everything around me
Got even colder.
The noise I heard
Became a familiar tone.
I then had the strength to turn around
And a ring around him shone.
I felt relief
Even through the pain.
I then had another
Friend to gain.
God had come to save me.
He wouldn't let me die.
He lifted me and my pain left.
Then we flew into the sky.

Nice ending, very discriptive, praise God for safe passage through our trials in life! I wish you well and God bless...
