My Beloved Heart Poem by Tshiamo Ngwenya

My Beloved Heart

I know how it feels to love alone,
when the night screams his absence
and his there cuddling another girl.
I know how the heart feels
when feelings confuse emotions
and loves becomes a desperation.
I know what a heart needs
not death that he seeds
and promise it will grow,
for it is not thunder
or a rumbling sound
but a feeling unrequited
and given by chance.
for it is affection
that leads confusion
to think that the actions
could mean a relation.
I know how a heart bleeds in ignorance
and dares to appreciate pain as it comes.
I know how a heart weakens
and loves unaccordingly.
I know,
I know why a heart would forgive even a sadist
because life is a gamble
and it can only hope to win.
I know,
from chapters, to love prose,
songs, poetry recites and movie streaming,
I know that everything that exist in the life of words
are mysterious goals out of reach,
so dare not tell me
how I feel
cause even you,
are just a dream
