My Apologies Poem by Caylin Paige

This is my apology to the girl I used to be.
I am sorry I can not be so innocent and kind.
I will no longer be taken advantage of.
I will no longer be stepped on by others.
I will lead the pack.
I am sorry that I am letting you go.
So long and fair well
my sincere apologies go out to the old me.
the girl I used to be.
Now, I must not back down.
No matter the circumstance.
I will have honor and embrace challenge and over come defeat.
I will not retreat.
