Muslim Mission Poem by DAYO PETERS DESINA

Muslim Mission

MUSLIM MISSION

Our Alfa said that
Broomsticks
Woven in a red string
Is the right ransome
For our soaring sin
That
The ladle
That scoops the soup
Is the one adorned
With curved strings
Of the Jew’s misdemeanor
And
The hare
That runs faster
Reads first
The hidden verses
Of the Noble Quran

Our Alfa said that
Sadness
Growing with the days’ death
Can only be dead
When white doves fly
In that cloudy sky
That
Rebirth
Once devoid of Ayatollah
Can never have name
In al-Lauh al-Mahfudh
Not with the much sins
Before the hourly cleansing
And
Promises
Of the son of Abdallah and Amina
Shall crumble down
In the face of Hadith
And al-Sunna

Our Alfa said that:
Dung
Scattered on the white mat
Can only stain the purity
For the period before cleansing
That
The fool
That gives pork
To a believer
Shall lay low
On the last day
And
Death
During Jihad
Is the right route
To eternal life.
POSTSCRIPT:
Islam, just like Christianity is betided with its woes and worms. Most devout Muslims are always concerned with what the Alfa said, thereby forgetting the very necessity of life and creation.
