You first hear music - the gentle beat of your mothers heart
As she feeds, nurtures you and life does impart
Its drum beat is the first percussion you ever hear
A sweet rhythmic song - secure comfort to un-borns ear
Then as your born into this new strange world
The first music of a baby’s cry is heard
Then come the lullabies sung gently with grace
That music surrounds drapes in a caring embrace
As you grow you realize the music’s still all around
Everywhere is the rhythm of nature’s rich vivacious sound
You carry your own music your life’s blood your own internal beat
Its slows and speeds, is loud or soft, as things in life you meet
Music pulses round and round keeping the world alive
It is precious to all in what ever form and helps us to survive
