Morning In The Garden Poem by Micron

Morning In The Garden

Rating: 5.0

Nature’s beauty is there all the time
It waits for you so it can shine
As the morning light filters through the trees
The rich velvet roses sway in the breeze
Dew brightly, glistens, sparkles as it clings
To every blade of grass and the surface of everything
On the winters coarse hard spiny sticks
Tender shoots appear one of nature’s tricks
A blackbird on the ground hops along
While his mates above sings her song
Cherry blossom petals now gently cascade
As natures confetti a pale pink snow is made
On thin stems graceful daisies bob their heavy heads
While showy poppies display bright oranges and reds
Graceful blue Iris reveal their golden yellow heart
In this tranquil flower gardens morning start

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Corn plants straight and tall There to bear the load Of the ear and all As nature designed they would. Smell the fragrance of the pollen Bearing tassle As it travels on the wind A mighty hassle. Meeting with the waiting silk For a journey down the hollow Uniting to form an embryo soon filled with milk The promise of tomorrow. As the ear grows within the husk The silk soon turns brown As it must As individual seeds are grown. But not all is well it seems, For a danger lurks Into the garden green A squirrel intent on other work. Reaching tall for the ripening ear The squirrel hopes to feast On the food so near There within its reach. Perhaps some other time and day It will permit the grain to ripen Which is Nature's way For another result to happen. But not this time - The squirrels ate all my corn. s
