Murmur Poem by Hanan Muzafar

Murmur

When I began to hear,
I heard noises, noises of every kind,
When I began to see,
I saw faces, faces of every kind;
As if I was caged for long,
In a room, and in my soul:
I met many,
but no one found me.
There're voices that are unheard,
There are sorrows that are unfold;
If it's darkness, it's here,
If it's light, it's within,
Is there any place, left to go?
World was silent,
and world always been:
A mockery show, that never goes,
desires that leave you in woe:
I've seen fear and hope.
