Murakami's Jaguar 10.10.19

Like a Jaguar,
Murakami's
'Killing Commendatore'
(-tor, -tory, -toray?)
at 700 pages in toto
'squanders fossil fuels
like there's no tomorrow.')

For the sake of the planet,
I hope his Jaguar,
here said 'Commendatoray',
doesn't win the prize
to be announced today.

(Hours later:
he didn't win.
No-one of conscience
will buy Peter Handke.
That will comfort Earth.)
