Ms. Whimsy And Mr. Mirth Poem by Chuy Amante

Ms. Whimsy And Mr. Mirth

Rating: 5.0

The two of them
to me surely
had great worth
Shirley wasn't her name
and
It didn't dawn on me
until later that
Don was not his name

Surely Dawn came with giggles
from the two of them
Don surely took advantage
of her silly nature blissfully
and they played like kids
thru the decades
thru decline
and falling stars
and as the rising sun
the dust
of what
all is
from
and
returns to

why not laugh
at it
thru it
in it
with it?
