Moving Day Poem by JoAnn McGrath

Moving Day

Rating: 5.0

Packing away your life in boxes
Emotions reeling till numbness sets in
Decisions clouded by what lies ahead
Do you really need all this to begin

Trying to discard the provoking past
and seize what little is left inside
Now stifle the impelling fears
that makes one want to run and hide

So many emotions and so little time
Then the resolution of removing
and starting something new begins
Moving Day is very moving

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Trying to discard the provoking past... I like that. Good dual use of the word. And ain't it just! Moving being moving, I mean. t x

Last line takes it all on home....Moving is indeed a moving experience...especially if done on short notice...you want to hit '''pause''' on certain items that generate memories...yet theres no time to be sentimental now! .Great Penning...as if i expected any less! ~ ~ ~
