Mother Nature Poem by Joseph T. Renaldi

Mother Nature

Rating: 5.0

The golden wheat field is an elaborate sight
On a warm, breezy summer day,
And white - capped waves as they thrash the coastline
Of a sea that is gloomy and gray
Is a picturesque view I admit returns to bless
The gulf of a winter's night,
And yet the scene that fills my satisfaction
With joyous, unadulterated delight.

It is not the radiance of the rose
Nor the bright, yellow corona of the daffodil
But the plush and succulent vegetation
Of the valley, the plain, and the hill -
The green color of the grass as it strives to surpass
The green foliage of the swaying oak tree:
My fervor beholding the grassland
Joins mother nature in ecstasy.
