Mother Earth Poem by Vadakkumpurath Ramesan

Mother Earth

In moments of solitude
I have a bunch of flowery dreams!
I long to become a bird
Gliding over the snow-white cloud!
As a flower atop the tree
Smiling in the rising dawn
Smeared with morning dew.
That bring heavenly touch
To my earthly dreams
By dancing together
By singing in chorus
With birds chirping
Screaming and chattering
On branches of flowery trees.
I amaze at the Almighty,
He the faultless painter.
He the rhythmic dancer
With the music in melody
Bring a heaven to earth!
In moments of pause
I am elated to the heights
Of high thinking with philosophical touch
Of the great sages
Whose sweet verse
Still remain immortal
As torch-bearer
Withering light in the dense
Deep darkness of my ignorance!
My vaulting ambitions
Incited spontaneously
By natural beauty
That strand me in emotions
Recollected in tranquility
As poet Wordsworth spell!
