Mother Poem by Flavia Richardson

Mother

Mother, your amber eyes are staring
Looking at me and through me

Mother, your auburn flowing hair
Bounces heavy on your shoulders

Mother, your creamy white skin
Is like our marble figure grandma left

Mother, your touch is like a feather
Gently on my cheekbone as you say goodbye
