Mother Poem by Ryan McNicholas

Mother

Rating: 5.0

The one person who will do no wrong,
The one who will sing you to sleep,
With your favorite bedtime song,
The one, when the chips are down,
Will have your back, turning a frown upside down.

The one who will change,
That dirty diaper around your butt,
The one who will bandage you up,
Kiss it to make it better,
When you get a little cut.

The one who will wipe the,
Salty tears away, when all is said and done,
The one who leaves work early to take,
You to baseball, just so you can have fun.

The one who is flawless,
So sweet, so pure,
The one who thinks a warm,
Bowl of soup and blanket is the cure,
The one who helps with homework,
Knits sweaters too,
The only one you know who means it,
When they say “I love you.”
This person isn’t a cousin, sister, or brother,
Because in the end,
Who loves you the most,
Is your dear Mother.
