Mosquitoes Poem by Rahul Babu

Mosquitoes

Hear me in the darkness of the night,
the faint whisper that you've been waiting for,
Feel me in the coldness of the moonlight,
As I smother you and embrace you on the floor.

My pockets are empty, and my heart is in pain,
I have nothing to live for and to gain

My life can be of no meaning,
but for you I am more than what I think of myself

I am death in motion,
Feel the corpse dig into its deserved resting place.

Give me shelter from this rain,
As I am soaking wet from the memories of my inglorious past

Regret will follow me around,
guilt will bring me to the ground,
Save me from the puniahment that I forsake,
Find me, in my lifeless hollow mistake
