Mortal Poem by Aparna Chatterjee

Mortal

He won't hug me
If I cry for
Someone else.

He won't hug me
If I decline him sex.

I thought his love
Overflowed with
Selflessness…

How can it be?

A mortal can
Never be
Devoid of
Selfishness.
