More Than This.
You need to understand this about me
I love who I am with and who I am
But there are some things you must see
For me to even give a damn.
I am more than gay
I am a person just like you
I am capable of feeling every way
And I enjoy the same things you do.
Instead of telling me who I should love
Ask what I want to be
Ask what I do to feel above
Then maybe you could get to know ME!
Understand me for all that I enjoy
Try to genuinely care
Instead of telling me to be with a boy
Try to imagine yourself with my burden to bare.
I am not ashamed of me and her
But there is far more to me than this
So if my being lesbian is turning you cur
Feel free to look away as we kiss.

you know, ever since you printed this poem out for me i have read it almost every day. I think ive read most of them every day. Why is this world so full of hypocrits? ? what is so worong about letting two people who love eachother be together even if its 'wrong'? ? but who is to say whats right or wrong? ? ? Certainly not the people that we deal with every day.
