Although you've been gone for quite some time
It seems like only yesterday you were standing by my side
Still able to feel you taking my hand to show me the way
Guiding me through life's trials
Those special moments we've shared together
The softness of your voice calling my name
The gentleness of you arms wrapped around me in comfort
Wiping away the tears in my eyes
Taking away all the sadness
The brightness of your smile when you enter your room
Showing the warmth that's in your heart
Your kindness shown to everyone around you
Seeing the time that was spent helping another
Never thinking of just yourself
The gift of love that will always bind us together.
